Sits on top of a stuck jar, grips the lid, and twists it off hands-free after a single press, sparing weak or aching wrists. It fits a wide range of screw-cap sizes and runs on batteries.

Quick verdict

A battery-powered gadget that grips a stuck lid and unscrews it hands-free after one press, aimed squarely at weak, arthritic, or aching wrists. Genuinely useful as an accessibility aid, less compelling if you just want to open the occasional pickle jar.

What earns it the pick

  • One 3-second press and it grips and unscrews the lid fully hands-free
  • Auto-adjusts to fit a wide range of screw-cap jar diameters
  • Battery-powered, so it works anywhere without a plug
  • Sits on top of the jar and does the twisting, requiring almost no grip strength

The honest catch

What we’d want you to know before you buy.

  • It runs on batteries, so there's ongoing replacement and it won't work if they die mid-jar
  • The motorized unit is bulky and takes real drawer or counter space compared with a manual grip pad
  • It only handles screw-cap jars, not pry-off, cork, or push-and-turn childproof lids
Why it matters

It restores the everyday independence of opening a jar for people whose hands or wrists can't manage the force.

A rechargeable Bluetooth tracker that works with either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub and tops up over USB-C instead of eating coin cells. Best for Android users or anyone who wants a rechargeable AirTag alternative, though it lacks the ultra-wideband pinpoint finding an AirTag has on iPhone.

HyperChiller HC2 Rapid Iced Coffee / Beverage Cooler

Price band
$25-$30
Key spec
Cools hot coffee up to 130°F in about 60 seconds with NO dilution; freeze the inner chamber, pour hot in, pour cold out; also chills wine/liquor/tea; dishwasher-safe.
Verdict
A single-serve gadget that chills hot coffee to iced in about a minute without watering it down, so you skip the freezer-ice dilution and the overnight cold-brew wait. Worth it if iced coffee is a daily ritual and you hate a diluted cup.
