Start with the physical constraint, because everything else about this decision follows from it. A pascal is a unit of pressure. A suction figure in Pa describes the pressure difference the fan can create at a sealed inlet — how hard it can pull when nothing is moving. What actually lifts debris off a floor and carries it into a bin is airflow: the volume of air moving through the nozzle per second. The two are related but they are not the same thing, and a machine can be strong on one and mediocre on the other. Pressure without flow is a straw you can't breathe through; flow without pressure is a fan.

The second thing to know is that Pa figures on robot vacuums are manufacturer-published and measured in-house. There's no independent certification stamped on them the way there is on an appliance energy label. What robot mopping genuinely does — and the three messes it won't touch
